Woolworths is joining supermarkets Tesco, Canada's Empire Company (owners of Sobeys and Safeway), South Africa’s Shoprite Group and Ahold Delhaize in an Au$190 million venture fund called W23 Global. The boss of Woolworths' W23 venture fund will run the new global fund.
