The ACCC wants strengthened protections against data firms selling customer information to businesses. Third-party data firms in the ACCC’s scope include CoreLogic Australia, Experian, Equifax, illion and Woolworths Group's Quantium (which has a joint venture with Commonwealth Bank for a de-identified banking transactions).
