Qantas frequent flyers will need to spend more points to travel than they used to. From August 5, the points required for a Classic Reward seat will increase by between 5% to 20%. Classic Upgrades and premium redemptions with points on partner airlines such as Emirates will also increase at the same time. The Qantas share price lifted 3% after the announcement.
