ANZ has closed its data-analytics start-up, DataCo Labs, as part of a wider cost-reduction program that also includes cutting thousands of roles. DataCo was housed in the 1835i venture division which held Cashrewards (closed) and ANZ’s investment in Airwallex (exited). DataCo provided clean room technology: a means of finding the overlap between two or more customer data sets. Dataco's clients included Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia, Southern Cross Austereo and Nine.
