Qantas will overhaul status earn and expand everyday Status Credit accrual. From later this year, Qantas Frequent Flyer members will be able to earn up to 140 additional Status Credits annually on the ground rather than in the air across ten everyday spend categories and these credits will count toward Lifetime tiers. 50% of Status Credits will now be able to be rolled over into the next membership year (capped at 100 for Silver, 350 for Gold and 500 for Platinum). From 2027, Lifetime Gold members can bank up to five complimentary years of Platinum status, earning one year for every 10,000 Status Credits above the Lifetime Gold threshold.
